Botany

The Department of Botany which began as a pre-university course was upgraded to the graduate level in 1960. It has evolved into a full-fledged department with facilities for research. The department has 3 permanent faculty members and all are Ph.D. holders. The department offers programs at the Graduate level

To provide students with an education that blends a thorough academic program with hands-on learning and exposure to the outdoors, enabling them to enter a dynamic and productive research environment and develop a strong social commitment to the environment and the community.
